Super Cheap | Super Talent USB 3.0 Storage POD

With USB 3.0 promising us transfer speeds up to 10 times faster than USB 2.0, many people will be opting to upgrade to the new Universal Serial Bus standard.

A USB 3.0 external hard drive will typically cost you upwards of $100, but if you are a little bit handy, and looking to enjoy USB 3.0 on the cheap, then a company called Super Talent have just launched a product that may appeal to you and your wallet.

The Super Talent USB 3.0 Storage POD Enclosure is a $29 super sexy-looking hard drive enclosure that allows you to insert any 2.5 inch SATA harddrive or solid state drive with a thickness of 9.5 millimeters (which is the most common thickness). All you have to do is open the case by undoing 2 screws on the bottom, insert your 2.5 inch hard drive into the rubber grommet that secures the drive in the enclosure, dampens any noise the drive may make, as well as providing a certain level of shock absorption to protect the drive from damage if dropped or bumped.




Of course you will still need to install a USB 3.0 card into your desktop in order to take full advantage of the speed increase that USB 3.0 offers, but you should be able to do this with the money that the Super Talent USB 3.0 Storage POD Enclosure will save you over buying a USB3.0 hard drive from your favorite computer store.
